Moneyball Report

I like the idea of the Moneyball Reports, I think they are a good way of looking at how teams are doing in certain areas that don't get a lot of press. However, I'm not sure they are necessary every week. Week to week not much changes statistically for teams especially this late in the year. For instance, the Yankees have the best OBP in baseball, if they have a bad week they'll still have at least the 2nd best OBP, not sure it's worth my time to write or your time to read that on a weekly basis. So, the weekly Moneyball Reports where I give the team leaders and losers in OBP, FIP, UZR, and ExpWin% will now be reduced to monthly reports (where it's more reasonable and useful to write/read) that will occurr the first Monday of every month in season.

With all of that said I'll still try to do Moneyball related posts for Moneyball Monday.

However, with that said, I am going on an extended trip where I may or may not have internet so the regularity in which you can expect posts will drop significantly. I'm not joking here either. I try to average around 30 posts a month (I usually end up with mid 20s), it won't be because of personal choice but I wouldn't be surprised if this blog got reduced to 5-10 posts a month. Oh well the pitfalls of a chosen one going to his intended home...how about them Yankees though?
